Email account setup how-to (Mac Mail)
!This guide was made using "cpanel01.newpush.com" as incoming/ougoing hostname, however in the meantime we merged cpanel01.newpush.com into our cpanel03.newpush.com server.
While cpanel01.newpush.com as hostname works as well and you may see this hostname on some screenshots, we recommend to use cpanel03.newpush.com as hostname instead of cpanel01.newpush.com, as a long term reliable configuration!
1) Start Mail app, Select ‘Mail’ -> ‘Add Account...’
2) Select “Add Other Mail Account…” and click Continue.
3) Fill Account details as seen below and click Next.
Email address / Password.
4) Fill Incoming Mail Server info as seen below then click Next.
Mail Server: cpanel01.newpush.com
Username and Password are same as email address and password.
5) Fill Outgoing Mail Server info as seen below and click Create.
SMTP Server: cpanel03.newpush.com
Note: this is not optional.
Username and Password are same as email address and password.
Now the account has been created, but it still requires some configuration!
6) Select ‘Mail’ -> ‘Preferences...’
7) On ‘Accounts’ tab select your mailbox, and click Advanced.
Change Port number to 993 and make sure SSL is enabled.
8) In ‘Account’, on ‘Account Information’ tab, click on ‘Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)’ and select ‘Edit SMTP Server List...’.
9) Select cpanel03.newpush.com server which is in use by your account.
Select ‘Advanced’ tab. Change configurations as seen below and Click OK.
Port number: 465 and make sure to enable SSL.
Note: this is not optional
Authentication: Password
Username and Password are same as Email address and Password.
10) Close ‘Preferences’ window, on the pop-up window, Click ‘Save’.
