Upcoming scheduled maintenance notice
During the times listed in the maintenance windows, power works will be carried out in the Equinix SY1 facility by Equinix technicians and onsite vendors. The technicians have planned these works as there has been a detection of an end of life voltage in-rush time delay relay on the A1 Triplen Transformers. When the works are carried out, customers with dual fed appliances will not be affected. Servers Australia are actively working to identify customers who have single fed equipment in their allocations and will be contacting these customers directly with dates and and times their services will be impacted during the window.
During the scheduled window, technicians are required to shutdown the A1 block primary and redundant service Triplen Transformers in a staged schedule to permit the review of and replacement of these in-rush voltage relays as well as a parallel installation of an additional voltage sensing relay to introduce further redundancy to this component.
During the works, power supply of the A1 Triplen Transformers are isolated in separate stages to allow works to commence. Due to the nature of the works, either the A rail power or B rail power of the impacted rack will be de-energised for the duration of the specific maintenance window, meaning dual fed services will be operating with reduced redundancy.
