This is our spam / virus filter update for customers on the mx1 / mx2.tnpw.net filtering cluster. The information is brought to you by our vendor, SpamExperts.

What's new this week:

New reporting option

We have recently been working on a new method in which allows Microsoft's proprietary .msg type messages to be reported as Spam directly to our systems. This is often useful when installing the addon cannot be done for specific reasons.  While this is still being optimized, it is now possible to report these messages via our special reporting email address. This can be done by using the "Forward as attachment" option from Outlook directly, and sending this message to[email protected]

 Automate outgoing sender blacklisting:

Since the last month(s) we have implemented an API call to be able to blacklist outgoing senders. Historically the api_blacklist_sender call was used to do this, however now we recommend to always use the "api_blacklist_outgoing_sender" instead. Please make sure all your existing scripts that use this for any outbound blacklisting are updated with this new call. An example of how to use this API in conjuntion with other API's to blacklist senders when X number of messages are reached can be found on our Knowledgebase article here
